As the march of modern-day progress soldiers on, more and more of us are yearning for a return to life’s simple pleasures. This yearning is fostering the return of bustling market places, rich in fresh produce, plants and unique craftworks. These markets are everywhere around Perth – from Mandurah to Wanneroo and inland to the Hills.
Farmers markets in particular are becoming increasingly popular, allowing you to buy produce fresh from the farmer – no artificial ripening or long storage times for these products.
But these markets aren’t just about picking up fresh food or discovering a unique treasure. More than anything, these markets offer you the chance to indulge in the often-forgotten joys of feeling part of a community. They provide the chance to chat to the store owners, meet with friends, relax and appreciate life’s simple pleasures.
