Escape the winter blues by getting away from it all with a trip to the coast. Massive winter swells pound the beach, the air is so cool and fresh it makes you feel oh so alive and the beachside cafes and pubs become cosy recluses.
It really is romantic to gaze over a wild winter ocean from the warmth of a coastal café or bar. Or wait for a break in the weather and go for a stroll on the beach, breathing the fresh ocean air deep into your soul.
And don’t forget all that the coast has to offer in winter. From Mandurah and Rockingham in the south, to Guilderton and Lancelin in the north, this gorgeous ribbon of white sandy beaches offers a whole new appeal in wintertime.
Fremantle is a great place to visit in winter for the cafes, attractions, museums and great shopping. Or Rottnest Island for its bike rides, relaxing accommodation and fantastic landscape.
And not forgetting the Sunset Coast, which is particularly appealing for its coastal winter escapes and experiences. Places such as, Hillarys Boat Harbour, Mindarie Marina and Yanchep National Park are all great places to spend some time on a winter’s day.
In fact with so much on offer, there really is no excuse to succumb to the winter blues. After all, how long has it been since you’ve indulged in the recreational wonders on offer right here along the coast? You may know such attractions exist, but when did you last take the time for you, to experience them for yourself?
